J. Huete Greenhouses has just completed the construction of a new multi-tunnel greenhouse project for Enza Zaden, a leading international company in the horticultural seed sector. The facility will be used for vegetable cultivation and will feature a comprehensive solution combining structure, cladding, climate control equipment, electrical system, irrigation, and technical area.
The project reflects the growing importance of having agricultural infrastructure designed from a technical perspective, especially when the goal is to work with high-value crops and demanding production parameters. In this type of facility, the greenhouse ceases to be merely a protective structure and becomes a productive tool capable of influencing crop uniformity, climate management, irrigation efficiency, and the organization of daily work.
The project included the construction of a multi-tunnel structure with foundations, pillars, gutters, capitals, flanges, trusses, cladding, protective netting, doors, vestibules, and reinforcement systems. These elements allow for the configuration of a robust installation, prepared to meet the needs of a professional horticultural operation and adapted to the specific conditions of the farm.
One of the key aspects of the project is the incorporation of roof and perimeter ventilation systems, two crucial components for promoting air renewal, improving temperature and humidity management, and contributing to a more stable environment for crop development.
