Screens for greenhouses
Optimal control of light, temperature and humidity
Greenhouse screens are mobile systems that can be opened and closed voluntarily depending on the external weather conditions and what the crop needs to grow. They are fabrics designed to balance the greenhouse temperature and maintain the right levels.
Efficient systems
The thermal screens that J. Huete International installs in greenhouses all over the world are able to maintain the right temperature inside. In cold seasons, for example, they retain heat, thus helping to achieve significant energy savings.
There are several types of heat screens that can be installed in a greenhouse.
Indoor shade screens
They can be open, closed or roll-up and can also be used in other installations such as farms, restaurants, terraces…
Indoor energy-saving screen
This type of system alternates between the greenhouse and the open air at the will of the farmer and according to the needs of the crop.
Blackout screen
They can be placed on roofs or side walls of certain installations.
Outdoor thermal screens
They are mainly used for crops that need aeration but, at the same time, must be protected from adverse circumstances such as excessive sunlight.
Advantages of using heat screens
- Humidity control
- Brightness control
- Thermal balance and control at will
- Heating fuel savings
- Control and lower irrigation water costs
Energy saving screens
Transparent units, designed to retain heat in the greenhouse without losing light. They are common for growing vegetables in places with low temperatures.
Energy saving and solar reflection screens
These screens generate levels of shade and reflect part of the solar energy that the crop does not need outwards.
Shading screens
They can be used indoors or outdoors. The former reduce radiation and high temperatures during daylight hours. The latter, on the other hand, increase protection against solar radiation, wind and hail.
